Brexit is Coming.

The UK is due to leave the EU on April Fool's Day 2019. A relentless forty year campaign has succeeded and we are about to turn our backs on Europe. Some of them say that they are not anti-European but they are deceiving themselves. Forget about sovereignty. There can be no such thing as sovereignty unless our country is as self-sufficient as the USA or the Russian Federation. And you can also forget about immigration. If we stop European workers from coming here it will only mean that we import more Asians and Africans to make up the numbers. The real reason why they want to leave Europe is that they are petty nationalists suffering from autism and unable to relate to humanity.

There is still a chance that Brexit will be abandoned but we must work on the assumption that it will go ahead. If we leave the EU we will still be Europeans by race, culture, and geography. And we can always rejoin in the future. The chippy Northerners, and the discontented South Coast pensioners will not live forever. Brexit is an act of self-harm by a nation stupefied by rightwing propaganda. It's a cry for help from the Rustbelt, an act of defiance by the dispossessed, and a cynical gesture by the Establishment. 

Not content with wrecking the British economy the Brexiteers are spreading the false news that some EU states are ready to follow our example. They told us that the AFD would win and take Germany out of the EU. But they didn't win and their website clearly states that they will remain in the EU. Most recently they said that the Sweden Democrats would win and take their country out of the EU. Once again this was nonsense. But what about Italy? Lega is part of the government coalition and when Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini was interviewed by Stephen Sakur on the BBC Hardtalk program, he clearly stated that Italy would remain in the EU and the eurozone. Interfering Russians

America has threatened to impose economic sanctions on any state that interferes in their elections. It is alleged that the Russians are opening false Facebook accounts and using cookies to target potential voters. This nonsense has gone viral on both sides of the Atlantic, but nobody has asked why would they do such a thing when there is not a scrap of difference between the parties. Both the Democrats and the Republicans are hostile to Russia,

The anti-Russian campaign cites the repossession of Crimea, the shooting down of a civilian aircraft in Ukraine, and the Salisbury poisonings, to justify their hostility. The British Intelligence Service blames Russia but who would believe the people who fabricated Tony Blair's 'dodgy dossier'. They said that Saddam Hussein had 'weapons of mass destruction' when he was almost defenceless. The real reason for their hatred is that America wants to export oil and gas to Europe in competition to the Russians. Russia is already the largest supplier of energy to Europe and they are building three more pipelines. The proximity of Russian energy to German industry is a marriage made in Heaven. 

American foreign policy is driven by self-interest, which is fair enough, but there is no reason for us to join in. It's in our interest to maintain good relations with our fellow Europeans - including the Russians.

America is against Russia out of commercial rivalry over gas and oil, and because Russia is supporting Syria - a deadly enemy of Israel. But the American energy market and the defence of Israel are nothing to do with us.

When the Soviet Union was a Communist super-power she naturally encouraged her supporters all over the world, but the modern Russian Federation is a parliamentary democracy with a market economy. There is absolutely no evidence that Vladimir Putin is trying to export his political ideology or the Russian Orthodox branch of Christianity.

The election story is just another anti-Russian myth invented by American copywriters and faithfully followed by our slavish politicians and journalists. Russia is Europe's natural ally.

A European Army

One thing guaranteed to induce hysteria in the Tory ranks is any mention of a European Army. They have forgotten that the British Army was supported by Dutch and Prussian troops at the Battle of Waterloo, by the French in the Crimean War, by the French, Belgians, Italians, and Japanese, in the First World War, and by Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Rhodesia, South Africa, Soviet Union, United States, and all parts of the British Empire, in the Second World War.

Not to be outdone the Germans had allies from; Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Latvia, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Soviet Union, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Since the Second World War the British Army has been engaged in Korea, as part of the United Nations, in Bosnia and Afghanistan as part of NATO, and in Iraq, as part of the American Coalition. 

We have always had allies so there is nothing new about the idea of a European Army. It didn't diminish the British Army by being under the command of General Dwight D Isenhower at Normandy. And the Tory traditionalists don't worry about being part of NATO. Committing our forces to a European Defence Force would make sense militarily and financially. All of the European nations have modest armed forces that would match the super-powers if they stood together.

Letter From America

(I emailed my old comrade Robert Lyons to wish him well as hurricane Florence approached the East Coast, and I commented on Donald Trump). 

Dear Bill, thanks for the good wishes, it appears it will be a rain event for us as the storm heads inland and then turns upward back toward the coast and Maryland on Monday. It's very rare for a storm to impact Maryland directly because of the way the state is situated, hurricanes usually hit the coast below or above the state. The worst destruction I can remember from a hurricane was from Agnes back in the 70s, that was a glancing blow with lots and lots of rain and lots and lots of flooding. Florence may bring some flooding on Monday, we shall see.

I agree with you completely about Trump, all he would have to do is no Tweets and keep his mouth shut and he can't do it, he's on a path to self-destruction for sure. As for a Zionist president, it's only a matter of degree of Jewishness because the Jewish lobby controls who runs for president and who wins as president. It's a matter of degree over which candidate can out Jew the other as Commander Rockwell used to say. Trump is the most totally controlled pro-Jewish president we've ever had and it's the corrupt Jews around him that are hammering the nails into his coffin, I think it all hilarious.

Just as one's natural attachment to one's own family traditions and to one's own immediate relatives are the foundation which Nature has supplied for sympathy and benevolence towards one's fellow citizens, so, too, the citizen of each nation, in order to attain to true cosmopolitan virtues and well-ordered zeal for the good of the race, must have as the foundation of these virtues that love and devotion to his own country which the law of nature and right-ordered charity demand. True charity and true piety must begin at home.

In the same way, the higher and most perfect culture of a people, if it be real perfection and not a degradation or deterioration, must develop along the lines of the national characteristics and traditions. A declassed man or woman, who, owing to worldly training or a false ambition for social advancement, has come to disregard or despise his or her own immediate family, forfeits the respect of right-thinking men; and from such a one nothing great or generous may be hoped. The same applies substantially to the more or less degraded citizen who has lost or never possessed the love and appreciation of the nation to which he belongs, and to which he is bound by the closest natural ties. It is in this sense that Chateaubriand, the Catholic apologist and historian writes: "We doubt whether it is possible for a man to possess any real virtue, any real talent or ability, without love of country."

The native language and literature of a country are usually bound up very intimately with the whole national spirit, and with almost every aspect of the national life. This is specially true of a literary language like Greek or Irish, which contains the native history, the national laws and institutions, and enshrines the traditional ideas and aspirations of the people. In such a case, at least, the preservation of the native language may be regarded as essential for the continued existence of the historic nation itself. The truth of Davis's oft-quoted words cannot be seriously questioned:
"A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and more important frontier than fortress or river."

It would be a mistake, however, to suppose that the virtue of Patriotism can appear only in its war paint, or is confined to the duty of defending or regaining the freedom of one's country or saving the nation from extinction. A person manifestly owes many other services to his country, which, though more ordinary and commonplace, are, at least, in normal circumstances, more practical, and sometimes little less heroic. The spiritual, intellectual and material interests of the nation need the services of each of its members. The object of the civil union with which Patriotism is so closely connected is to assist the members each and all towards the highest development of their faculties, moral, intellectual and physical. Hence, the patriot will do his part to procure for the country the benefit of good laws, to check the spread of vice, above all, to secure that the most worthy are chosen for the public offices; in a word, all the duties already referred to under the heading of Legal and Distributive Justice are also included in those of Patriotism.

In connection with the services of Patriotism, we shall conclude with one remark. The true patriot serves his country as the dutiful and affectionate son shows kindness to his parents, from motives not of interest but of love. Hence, he will not seek or expect payment or reward, save the consciousness of having done his duty; for the proposition may be accepted as substantially true that the man who demands gratitude from his country as his due, rarely gets it, and still more rarely deserves it.

John Bean on Europe

Over lunch with John Bean at Newmarket, we discussed Brexit for the umpteenth time and he insisted that he is a European. All things are relative and compared to his fellow nationalists he is indeed a European. When I first met him he was into the Nordic master race but in 1966 he wrote an article in 'Combat' entitled 'Let's Keep Nordicism in Perspective'. Since then he has been campaigning for a European Confederation of Nation States. He is still opposed to the EU but he has long been a lone voice in the nationalist camp in calling for European solidarity.

His European policy was dumped by the Empire Loyalist leadership when the National Front was founded in 1967. He voted to stay in the Common Market in Harold Wilson's referendum in 1975, a fact which he confessed in an article in 'Spearhead' in 2001, entitled 'A Europe of Nations'. In this article, he explained his concept of Confederation:

"It should have a common immigration policy, which effectively would limit immigration of non-European peoples to students wishing to return to their homelands with their acquired skills, and genuine asylum seekers. There should be free movement of citizens of each state within the Confederation.

All national legislation should be the sole responsibility of each of the sovereign states within the Confederation. However, there should be a common foreign policy for the Confederation's relations with the world at large.

For the defence of the nations of the Confederation, all armed forces would be under the control of their own national governments but allied to each other: as in the manner of the allied armies during the Second World War and, earlier, in the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo. Each nations armed forces would work together in aiming for standard specifications to increase the ability for inter-change of weaponry.

The sovereign states of Canada, Australia and New Zealand would be encouraged to become members of the Confederation."

Spearhead's editor, John Tyndall, published Bean's article but he denounced it at length.

In 2003 JB used his website 'Beans Talk' to quote Peter Simple from the Daily Telegraph:

"The civilisation of Europe - the greatest civilisation the world has ever known - still seemed secure. Its ancient cities, so varied in their beauty and splendour, still held glorious treasures of art. Its noble landscapes were still unsullied. Its various peoples keep their own historical traditions. But the death wish fell on Old Europe, and it collapsed in fratricidal war. The Americans arrived to hasten its ruin with their pernicious doctrines of self-determination, equality and perfectability. Mortally wounded, Old Europe staggered on, but could not recover. Now there's talk of a New Europe... of technicians, accountants and businessmen.  It may or may not prosper. What do we care, when Old Europe jas gone forever?" 

JB added, "Perhaps I am an eternal optimist. While there is still a chance, don't give up without a fight."

He is still writing and the BDP website carries an interview he did with Rod Liddle in 2012. He described his editorship of the BNP magazine 'Identity'. 

"I had a few differences of opinion with Nick Griffin in the presentation of the magazine's socio-political content - to which he contributed a regular article. Most of this was concerned with in-depth explanations of the fundamentals of nationalist policies. Where appropriate I pushed this in the direction of European Nationalism via a European Confederation..."

It's not the purpose of this article to argue for European Union. I believe that JB's 'Confederation' would turn into full political and economic union, just as it did in Canada and Switzerland. But his vision of Europe is infinitely better than the negative nationalism that was carved in stone by John Tyndall. 

Brexit and Immigration

Brexit will not stop immigration. Theresa May promised the Chinese, the Indians, and the Africans, that we will take more of their immigrants in return for trade deals when we leave the EU. I have repeatedly warned that this would happen. The established parties depend on cheap labour and they make no distinction between Norwegians and Nigerians. I have also pointed out that people inevitably follow goods across borders.

European immigrants are easily assimilated, but not so assimilable non-Europeans were pouring into the UK long before we joined the EU, and they will continue to do so long after we have left. Great waves of immigration swept the country from 1948 when the British Immigration Act was passed by a Labour government. First the West Indians, the Windrush generation, then the Uganda Asians, and the Vietnamese boat people. None of them had anything to do with the EU.

Now, the Euro-sceptic 'Heritage & Destiny' magazine is questioning our future:

"Some H&D readers were always sceptical about Brexit, fearing that immigration policy would actually get worse after we left the European Union. UKIP spokesmen regularly argued that they would prefer immigrants from India (and by implication English-speaking countries in Africa) to those from Eastern Europe. 

Ukip, of course, is now semi-extinct, so that party's views on race and immigration are irrelevant, but there is a real possibility that post-Brexit Britain will have a Labour government. Today we found out what that might mean. Diane Abbot - who has been such a disaster as Shadow Home Secretary that she was hidden away for most of the 2017 election campaign - today announced Labour's immigration policy, and many H&D readers might now be thinking we would be better off in the EU than making this open door disaster." 

We never had a problem with Poles mugging old ladies, looting shops, torching neighbourhoods, or planting bombs on our trains and buses. The Eastern Europeans were generally hard-working people who respected British society. But Ukip ran a shameful campaign against them which tipped the balance in the referendum. Remember, they said that we were about to get 80 million Turks. Now, the Poles and Lithuanians have stopped coming only to be replaced by Africans and Asians. 

There was never any reason why Britain could not stop non-European immigration. The Brexiteers were conned by Nigel Farage and Nick Griffin and now we must suffer the consequences.

International trade is important but Mosley's vision of 'Europe a Nation' went far beyond the single market and the customs union. The following article first appeared in the post-war Mosley Newsletter.

We were divided and we are conquered. That is the tragic epitaph of two war generations. Those words alone should adorn the grave of the youth of Europe. That was the fate of my generation in 1914 and that was the doom of a new generation of young soldiers in 1939. The youth of Europe shed the blood of their own family, and the jackals of the world grew fat. Those who fought are in the position of the conquered, whatever their country. Those who did not fight, but merely profited, alone are victorious.

What, then, was the truth concerning the National Socialist or Fascist movements, before the war? Our fault was exactly the opposite of that suggested against us. How often in politics is that the fact? How rarely are the people permitted to know anything except the reverse of the truth? It was suggested that we might set the interests of other countries before our own: that was an absurd lie. In reality, we were all too National - too narrowly concentrated upon securing the interests of our own nations. That was the true fault of all real National Socialists or Fascist Movements whether in Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy. So far from being willing to serve each other as 'Fifth Columns' in the event of a clash between states, our political ideology and propaganda were far too Nationalistic even to mould the minds of men in a new sense of European kinship and solidarity which might have avoided disaster by universal consent. So far from fighting for other countries in a war, we none of us argued with sufficient force in favour of that new sense of European Union which modern fact must now make an integral part of a new creed. Our creed was brought to the dust because the Fascist outlook in each land was too National.

How did it happen? How did that creed, which might have brought the Renaissance of Western Man, confine itself within the limits of a too narrow Nationalism? How did the rush of that mighty river of re-birth lose itself in the dry sands of a past that should have been dead?

There are two reasons; the first practical, the second ideological. For all the fiery idealism of our creed, it was ever imbued with the most realistic practical sense. We had, therefore, observed with strong feelings of revulsion the ridiculous structure of that Tower of Babel which the old world erected after the last war. The attempt to solve every problem by bigger and better committees of wider and more diverse nationalities ended in the grotesque failure which our realism foresaw. Their procedure in the face of difficulty was ever to introduce more and more people who were less and less like each other in tradition, though, feeling and instinct. Consequently and inevitably the difficulties became ever more insuperable until the whole attempt broke down in tragic absurdity. That did not appear to be a practical method. So we tried the opposite approach of each nation building in its own area a system suitable to its own tradition, culture and feeling.

The first stage was, therefore, to divide the world into large, self-contained blocks on this realistic basis of natural division. A superstructure of universal friendship and understanding between nations could later have been erected on the solid foundation of these natural and practical areas. In my writing and speeches long before the war, I thus opposed the concept of "Universalism" to that of "Internationalism." It is a practical sense which says, let us begin by cleaning up our own corner when the room is in a mess: afterwards we can discuss the future of the room as a whole. That attitude was anyhow, a very natural reaction from the fantastic performances of the Babel Boys, who confronted chaos with the confused jabber of a multitude of conflicting tongues and diverse instincts within the old 'Internationalism," which began as a woolly ideal and ended as a squalid racket.

But the revulsion from current errors led most protagonists of the new European creed back into what should have been regarded as the obsolete paths of Ultra-Nationalism. On practical grounds it became all too clear that a grotesque medley of skins and cultures could never get anywhere; so the realism of the new men reacted too far to the other extreme of a nationalism which in modern conditions is unnaturally narrow.

Our ideological opposition to the old Internationalism was naturally even stronger than the practical. The principles of that Internationalism appeared to us an absurdity and an outrage - a grotesque violation of every self-evident truth of nature which could only bring degeneration and destruction. The argument that every savage was in every way the brother and equal of a European just plainly was not true; every sense and every instinct, all history and knowledge told us that. Those people were not the same as us; they were obviously and deeply different. So International Brotherhood was just the bunk; it was founded on a blatant negation of the truth. The idea that you could build a world on the premise that all men, or all races, were equal was a dangerous absurdity; yet that was the whole premise of the "democratic" concept which we opposed. In fact, they are obviously not equal in intellect, physique, knowledge, achievement, history or tradition.

Further, the gifts of different races vary as widely as the gifts of different individuals. To affirm that they are just the same is to state so palpable an untruth that you risk the charge of seeking the destruction of the higher in the interest of the lower. This is in fact, the charge against Communism. They seek to break down every European value, founded on truths that have endured the test of ages because their first task in the move to replace the higher by the lower is to tear down the values of the former. Before you put the lower on top you must first prove there is no higher. That argument was also very welcome to the International Money Power which knew that the lower could be corrupted for its own purpose, while the higher type are the natural barriers to corruption and chaos. The easiest way to remove them is to prove that all men and all peoples are the same; spiritual conquest thus precedes the material triumph.

Such was the ideology and such the teachings from which the National Socialists or Fascists creed reacted so naturally and so vehemently. The tragedy was that the revulsion produced too narrow a Nationalism. When you are told that you must kiss Harry the Hottentot on both cheeks as a condition of taking a walk down the street you are apt to confine yourself to the close circle of your own family! Your feeling is all the stronger if you are constantly told it would be a good thing if he came in and ran your house for you and if, on occasion, he is even given the power to do so. The reaction was "human, all too human."

The real idea, which must become the creed of the future, is surely to reject the old Internationalism on the one hand, and on the other hand to transcend an exclusive nationalism which divides natural friends and relatives. Man moved from the village to the nation in the natural process of uniting with his nearest kinsmen as his mind and spirit grew. Now the time is come to move from the nation to the continent, or even beyond it, under the same natural impulse and process of next uniting with those nearest to us in blood, tradition, mind and spirit.

The idea of Kinship is the true Idea; the reaching out of our hands to those who are kindred or of the same kind. The idea of Kinship can bring the Union of Europe where the old Internationalism failed. As a family of the same stock and kind Europe should always have been united in Ideal. Today, the Real, as well as the Ideal, faces Europe with the alternative of Union or disaster. So must come a new union of mind and spirit, not only to avoid destruction but for further purposes of construction. Yet the idea of Kinship carries us far beyond Europe; there are kindred of our same kind in both Americas. Their spiritual life is also ultimately based on nearly three millennia of European history and Culture. In the deep realities and further ideals of this Age, all nature impels them in their final test to feel and think as we do.

We love our countries, but we must extend that love; the ideal and the practical alike now compel it. The extension of Patriotism: that is the necessity and that is the hope. The new Patriotism will extend to embrace all of like kind, but will not destroy the values of its kind by seeking the unnatural mingling of the old Internationalism which is proved to fail. The Universalism of like kind, within a new union of the spiritual and the material, will protect its members and its values but will menace no others. Thus shall we of two war generations no longer be divided. Thus shall our ideals, which were so misused and betrayed, at length be realised in ways our eyes could not then see. The anguish of our Age will not have been in vain if now is born the Idea that shall carry man beyond what is called "Democracy", and even beyond Fascism. From the flames which end an epoch rises the Idea of the Future.

Pride and Prejudice

The 2018 local government elections saw the collapse of Ukip. Their performance was bad enough but the smaller nationalist parties; BNP, National Front, British Democrats and others, didn't win a single council seat between them. The nationalist vote has been hijacked by the Jacob Rees-Mogg faction of the Tory Party.

Oswald Mosley fought for workers' rights as a minister in the Labour government of Ramsay Macdonald, and as leader of the pre-war British Union and the post-war Union Movement.

The National Front once supported Bill Whitbread's Trade Union Anti-Immigration Movement, and the BNP are allied with 'Solidarity', the independent trade union led by Pat Harrington (pictured).

But the Jacob Rees-Mogg faction of the Tory Party are dedicated reactionaries who crave cheap labour and despise the One Nation Tories who built social housing in the Fifties.

If we leave the EU under the hard-faced Tories, they will scrap what they call 'red tape'; the employment and health and safety regulations that protect us. In pursuit of maximum profits, they would demolish the Welfare State, sell off the National Health Service, and flood the country with cheap labour immigrants.

The Jacob Rees-Mogg faction are enthusiastic flag wavers who delight in singing the national anthem and making a show of patriotism. But what sort of patriot would tolerate dangerous working conditions or sub-standard housing? It's not a class issue: Oswald Mosley and Harold Macmillan were aristocrats but they identified with the working men who fought with them in the trenches of the First World War. Jacob may be sprung from the loins of the nobility but he is supported by middle-class Tories who struggle to pay their mortgages.

National Socialism in its literal sense is a love of a country and its people but Tory Nationalism is an unholy alliance of prejudice, false patriotism, and exploitation.

Our American correspondent Robert Lyons was a youthful member of the National States' Rights Party who attended the 1961 BNP camp in Norfolk.

Trump's target from the beginning has been Iran, the North Korea situation has only been a distraction Trump would like to put out of the way so he and his flunkies can concentrate on neutralizing Iran. Trump's masters have been first Israel, secondly the Sunni states in the Middle East like Saudi Arabia, and thirdly his broad-based Evangelical support base here in the US plus the powerful Jewish lobbies and the neocons plus big-name Jewish financial supporters.

There's a large number of Democrats in both the Senate and House who support his anti-Iran stance. The Jewish/Zionist groups are so powerful here it's doubtful any anti-Jewish or anti-Zionist citizen running for office in this country could ever be elected. The Jewish organisations scan every office seeker before elections looking for any sign of deviation of the pro-Israel, pro-Jewish, stance. I'm sure it's the same in the UK and probably much worse.

Much of the so-called alt right who still support Trump knowing what he is and where he stands continue to amaze me, those people must bury their heads in the sand to keep from acknowledging the truth of the situation. Trump is beyond a doubt the most Zionist and pro-Jewish president the US has ever had in its history.

"Bibi" Netanyahu's visual display the other day was totally laughable but Trump and his followers sucked it up like it was the unquestioned word of God. Never have the nuclear weapons of Israel ever been mentioned, it's like the forbidden subject that is never to be mentioned if anybody had the guts to they would be declared an anti-Semite and run out of town.

We've seen it all before and it will get much worse. One brave person standing up would be like spitting into the wind during a hurricane. What we were able to do in the 60s and 70s seem amazing compared to what can be done now. Freedom of speech now seems like a distant memory of times gone by. The masses are now totally blind to any and everything.

Municipal Censorship

The Museums and Libraries Association states the following on the censorship of the Internet in public libraries:

"Libraries should make this known to users and provide the opportunity for them to challenge particular instances of blocking or request the adjustment of blocking criteria. And they should recognise that such techniques are imprecise and aim to minimise restrictions and avoid inadvertent blocking of legitimate resources."

It's common practice for libraries throughout the country to impose censorship on their public access computers. Local councillors take it upon themselves to decide what we can see and hear, and what email services we can use.

They claim to be protecting us against pornography and the glorification of violence, but Zionist websites are freely available despite Israel's genocidal treatment of the Palestinians, and you can visit the website of the African National Congress which supports the confiscation of white-owned farms. 

These decisions are made by local councillors according to political prejudices that are invariably left wing. The 'servants of the people' are elected but few voters realise what powers they are giving them. If Parliament tried to censor the Internet in the same way as the local councils they would not get away with it. And if a Tory-controlled council tried to deny access to left-wing websites the lefties would riot in the streets.

Our politicians and journalists condemn China for censoring the Internet but they never mention our public libraries. If we must have an element of censorship it should be regulated by Parliament. There are some disgusting things on the Internet that should be restricted but political opinions must be allowed. We do not need a self-appointed 'Committee of Public Safety' to control our thoughts.

Some Thoughts on Race

Millions of people are flying around the world in search of pastures new. Nature confined the races of antiquity to their own territories with oceans, deserts and mountains, but we invented ships, planes, roads, and trains to overcome these obstacles, and now we are building rockets to take us into space.

People are defined by language, race, nationality, culture, and religion, but the European nations have absorbed many of their former colonial subjects. This has been exploited by politicians. Tony Linsell wrote in 'An English Nationalism':

"Those who are the most fanatical in claiming that race is unimportant, usually attach the greatest importance to it. They often use the very simplest form of racial classification and see only a Black race and a White race. Unfortunately, this ignores the fact that many of those who are neither Caucasoid or Negroid do not fit easily into the Black-White scheme. This leaves the problem of how to label the others.

Although the terms Black and White are used as synonyms for Negro and Caucasian, many consider it racist to refer to Mongoloids as, for example, Yellow. The term Oriental was once used instead of Mongoloid but that is also considered to have racist overtones, so Asian tends to be used instead even though it is not a good substitute because it involves mixing terms: Blacks and Whites are labelled by appearance while Asians are labelled by place.

Another drawback to using a term such as Asian or African is that it is not sufficiently specific. It is not helpful to name someone an African when what you mean is Black or Negroid because most North African Arabs do not consider themselves as Black and have a greater sense of identity with Asian Arabs than African Negroes. Neither is it helpful to use the term Asian when you mean an Arab. Those people who live in England and are commonly called Asians usually dislike being called Black and do not think of themselves as being part of the Black community even though multi-culturalists and some politicians have tried to impose that label on them so as to create a larger and more powerful political grouping."   

Oswald Mosley was one of the finest thinkers of the twentieth century. He opposed Commonwealth immigration on social and economic grounds but he never subscribed to the racism of the far right. Richard Thurlow described Mosley's attitude in his 1987 book 'Fascism in Britain':

"Mosley's view on race developed significantly from his view in the inter-war period that racial hatred was not a desirable policy for the British Empire. In essence, they were close to the racial views of Italian fascism, and the concept of the nation as a race cradle which developed from the English anthropologist Sir Arthur Keith. Its main assumptions were that race formation was a dynamic historical and political process within the confines of the nation-state and the derived characteristics of the nation-race could be acquired by the interaction of heredity, environment, culture and education over historical time. This was essentially Mosley's position." 

Mosley knew that the best friend of the working man is a manpower shortage and his worse enemy is an abundant supply of cheap labour. Immigration is used to hold down wages and conditions but it's not the immigrants who we should blame but the politicians who recruited them.

The problems of production and distribution can be solved by political and economic reform, and the poverty that drives migration can be eradicated. We have the ability and the technology to build a better world where people can earn a living in their own country. It can and must be done.

Conspiracy or Cock-up

According to conspiracy theory the world is controlled by hidden forces and nothing is what it appears to be. But cock-up theory holds that if things can go wrong they will. When Dave Cameron called a referendum on Britain's future the Euro-sceptics predicted that it would be fixed by 'the liberal elite' but it resulted in a victory for the Leave campaign and they have had to put their paranoia on hold. 

Sometimes when cock-up triumphs over conspiracy devotees of the black arts claim it to be a double bluff. This line of reasoning can get so complicated that nobody understands it. The trick is to make the evidence fit the crime.

President JF Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald who was killed by a registered Democrat called Jack Ruby. JFK was succeeded by LB Johnson who shared his policies. Oswald's guilt was established by the Warren Commission but the conspiracy theorists blame the Soviets, the Ku-Klux-Klan, the Israelis, the Mafia, or the CIA. Lee Harvey Oswald was a dedicated communist ex-serviceman who had lived in the USSR with his Russian wife. But that, of course, is "what they want you to believe."

Another favourite of the conspiracy theorists is Princess Diana. She was killed in a car crash in Paris but they believe that she was assassinated by the British secret service MI5 for bringing the monarchy into disrepute. Alternatively, she was killed by Mossad, the Israeli secret service, who were worried that she was about to marry a Muslim, or by the French secret service, the DCRI; for no apparent reason. Diana's driver was a drunk who had been drinking on the night of the crash but that doesn't impress the conspiracy theorists.

Sometimes conspiracy theories are contradictory. In his classic study of conspiracy The New Unhappy Lords AK Chesterton tells us that General de Gaulle was a Rothschild nominee charged with uniting Europe from the Atlantic to the Urals as part of a plot to establish a world government. But later he ironically suggests that de Gaulle should have been given an OBE for refusing Harold Wilson's request for Britain to join the Common Market.   

Probably the daftest theory of them all is that Adolf Hitler was helped to power by the Jews who organised the Holocaust to bring about the state of Israel. The Zionists, we are told, deliberately sacrificed millions of their own people to gain the sympathy of the world and excuse their future persecution of the Palestinians. If anybody believes this nonsense they should see a psychiatrist, preferably a Jewish one.

The Myth of Democracy

Democracy is based on the idea that the people know best but the mob often makes the wrong decision. They chose Barabbas over Jesus and they voted for Tony Blair three times in a row.

Elections in the UK are usually decided by about half of the electorate. The first-past-the-post system makes no provision for the second placed candidate. Often there is little between them but the winner takes all. The electorate votes for an individual but the party machine takes over and personalities become irrelevant. The parties are financed by big business, including the trade unions which are powerful commercial entities with massive investments. It is therefore the bosses of the banks, insurance companies and trade unions that run the country. And it's not surprising that they promote roads, railways, airports and other massive developments.

Ultimately all governments depend on the police and the army to stay in power. Britain’s last experiment in dictatorship was the Protectorate under Oliver Cromwell. He was a good man who loved his country and its parliamentary system but his inflexible rule became so unpopular that the People actually welcomed the return of a corrupt monarchy.

Since the French Revolution governments all over Europe have extended the franchise and made use of referendums but real power has remained with big business. The great corporations that backed the Nazis; Krupp, Siemens, Deutsche Bank, Daimler Benz, and Bayer are still running Germany. And the same is true in Japan with companies such as; Yamaha, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Toyota. When General McArthur announced a new constitution for Japan after the war he specifically mentioned these companies and stated his intention to close them down.

But powerful institutions are almost indestructible. During the Russian Revolution millions of people were slaughtered by the Reds: private property was confiscated by the state and the Church was outlawed. By the time of Stalin all power was in the hands of the Party. But when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 the Russian Orthodox Church made a spectacular comeback. Over seventy years of atheistic dictatorship had not diminished their power.

Big business is entrenched all over the world. Reform is possible but we will not change things by voting for parties owned by the Money Power. All we can do is organise and educate.

Visions of Europe

When Oswald Mosley wrote The Alternative in 1947 the Red Army occupied half of Europe and the other half was dominated by America. Mosley's policies were based on Western Europe and her colonies in Africa. He never expected the colonial empires to be dismantled by the sixties or the Soviet Union to collapse in the nineties.

In a prophetic speech in Berlin in 1940 Joseph Goebbels outlined his vision of the future:

"I am convinced that just as we look back with some amusement on the narrow-minded conflicts between German provinces in the 1840s and 1850s, our posterity in fifty years will look back with similar amusement on what is going on today in Europe. They will see the 'dramatic battles between nations' of small European states as family squabbles. I am convinced that in fifty years we will no longer think in terms of nations, but of continents, and that entirely different, and perhaps much bigger, problems will concern Europe."

The EU effectively embraces all of Europe west of Russia. The EFTA states belong to the single market and the Schengen Agreement; Albania and the former Yugoslav states have applied for membership. The two problem states are Britain and Turkey - Britain because she doesn't feel European and Turkey because she does. We reluctantly joined the old Common Market in 1973 but following a determined campaign by the popular press we voted to leave in 2016. Turkey made great strides under the leadership of Recep Erdogan but an attempted coup has damaged his country's chances of joining the EU.

The Council of Europe consist of 48 countries including the states of the old Soviet Union. We must remind ourselves that Europe goes all the way to the Urals and that that the geographical centre of our continent is Kiev.

The American-led hostility to Russia will not last forever. The Russians have shown in Crimea and Syria that they will not be intimidated. We need a treaty of friendship between Europe and Russia that recognises her legitimate interests on her western borders.

If the EU fails we must create a new political entity that embraces all the states of Europe including Russia. At present the splitters and quitters are in charge but the destiny of Europe will not be decided by readers of The Sun and the Daily Mail.

Carl Harley - the man who recruited John Bean

I first encountered Carl Harley and John Bean at a National Labour Party meeting in Trafalgar Square in 1959. I was there as a schoolboy, on a bicycle, with my mate Paul Barnes. But I didn’t get to know them properly until the BNP camp held in Norfolk in 1962.

Carl Harley was born in Greenwich on 26 June 1930. He was a member of the Mosley Book Club in 1947 and joined Union Movement on its foundation in 1948.  He did his National Service in the Royal Army Ordinance Corps from 1948 to 1950. When he came out of the army he was appointed organiser of the Lewisham branch of Union Movement, where he signed up a young man called John Bean before going to Manchester to help Jeffrey Hamm.

He fondly remembers his old comrades; Alexander Raven Thomson, Victor Burgess, Peter Lesley-Jones and Pat Dunigan; but he disliked Alf Flockhart. In 1958 he joined John Bean’s National Labour Party which merged with Colin Jordan’s White Defence League in 1960 to form the British National Party. In 1962 Colin Jordan broke away to form the National Socialist Movement. Carl tried to persuade John Tyndall to stay with the BNP but he decided to join Colin Jordan. Thirty-five years later, whilst writing to thank Carl for a donation, JT acknowledged his mistake.

Carl was a founder member of the National Front in 1967. He followed Andrew Fountaine into the NF Constitutional Movement in 1979. The NFCM was absorbed into John Tyndall’s British National Party in 1984. Carl stayed with the BNP until John Tyndall was ousted as leader in 1999.

Today he subscribes to Heritage and Destiny and keeps in touch with old friends all over the world. When I interviewed him for this article he was reading Jewish Supremacism by David Duke.

Carl Harley was not an armchair patriot. He was an organiser of branches, a public speaker, a builder of platforms and scenery, a painter of banners, a printer and distributor of leaflets, a campfire cook, a writer of letters, a security guard, a receptionist and a willing helper. I am glad to call him my friend.

As BNP members pose outside their Princedale Rd headquarters Carl Harley is busy upstairs cleaning the windows.

Arek Jozwik

The BNP joined in Ukip's shameful propaganda against Eastern Europeans during the referendum campaign, despite the fact that they are the same race and religion as us. They cannot be blamed for the death of Arek Jozwik in Harlow but they did nothing to prevent it. Slogans have consequences and weak-minded people should not be encouraged to engage in violence.

                                               
Now that we have "got our country back" we might have expected BNP leader Adam Walker to concentrate on the never-ending influx of Asians and Africans but his website is still attacking fellow Europeans:

"ONS figures released in the past fortnight confirmed that 50% of babies born in town are to mothers not born in the UK. The statistics confirm that Boston has experienced an unparalleled influx of Eastern European immigrants who have not contributed towards the NHS which is at breaking point."

The referendum was partly won on the issue of immigration but the unscrupulous employers who depend on cheap labour have no intention of doing without it; if we ban European immigrants they will simply import more Africans and Asians. Far from defending the white race the short-sighted populists of the far-right are helping to destroy it.

Thanks very much for the latest issues of European Outlook and Nation Revisited. The articles are most interesting as always and keep me updated with the political scene in the UK. I continue to admire your dedication to the cause, I know this effort requires lots of time, study, and dedication on your part.

Cynthia and I just returned from two weeks in Switzerland, it was a lovely two weeks and the weather cooperated but the visit was an eye opener and makes us fear for Europe. It seems there have always been Japanese tourists, the Japanese seem to have always had money and flocked to Europe but now there are hordes of all the Third World everywhere. It's no longer just Japanese, now it's Chinese and from every Asian country plus all of the Middle-East with Muslims everywhere but with one difference, it appears the Muslims are living there. We noticed Muslims in every town in Switzerland. It's a tragic affair and it certainly made us fear for the survival of not only Switzerland but all of Europe. Bob

Thanks Robert. In 2013 Switzerland had 1,646,325 European immigrants and 290,620 non-Europeans. Britons who voted to quit the EU should note that Switzerland is not a member of the EU but she is a member of EFTA. The mass migration from the Third World into Europe and North America is a problem requiring international co-operation at the highest level. It will not be solved by populist politicians shouting meaningless slogans. I’m glad you enjoyed Switzerland; a federation of self-governing states, with one flag, one currency, and one federal government. The Swiss speak four languages but they are united by a common patriotism. Their highly-developed country is a model for European unity.

Jewish History, Jewish Religion - Israel Shahak

Published by Pluto Press 1994, available from Amazon.

This interesting and informative book traces the history of the Jews from ancient times and explains much about them. In his foreword Gore Vidal dismisses charges of anti-Semitism that are frequently levelled against critics of the state of Israel.

"Fortunately, the voice of reason is alive and well, and in Israel, of all places. From Jerusalem, Israel Shahak never ceases to analyse not only the dismal politics of Israel today but the Talmud itself, and the effect of the entire rabbinical tradition on a small state that the right-wing rabbinate means to turn into a theocracy for Jews only. I have been reading Shahak for years. He has a satirist's eye for the confusions to be found in any religion that tries to rationalise the irrational. He has a scholar's sharp eye for textual contradictions. he is a joy to read on the great Gentile-hating Dr Maimonides."

Shahak reveals that the Jewish religion is rooted in the Cabbala, an ancient faith that worshiped a family of gods headed by 'Wisdom' and his wife 'Knowledge'. They had two children, a boy called 'Blessed One' and a girl called 'Matronit'. This mystic cult is the inspiration for the Gush Emun movement and a major influence on modern Judaism.

He goes on to explain the history of the Jews throughout the world and to describe their attitude towards the Gentiles. The rabbinical rule book known as The Halakhah states:

“When the Jews are more powerful than the Gentiles we are forbidden to let an idolator among us; even a temporary resident  or itinerant trader shall not be allowed to pass through our land unless he accepts the seven Noahide precepts, for it is written: ‘they shall not dwell in thy land, that is, not even temporarily. If he accepts the seven Noahide precepts, he becomes a resident alien (ger toshav) but it is forbidden to grant the status of resident alien except at times when the Jubilee is held (that is, when the Temple stands and sacrifices are offered). However, during times when Jubilees are not held it is forbidden to accept anyone who is not a full convert to Judaism (ger tzedeq).”

Jewish separatism has helped them survive as a nation but it has also led to their universal persecution. A tribe that refuses to integrate will always be resented; especially if it’s as gifted and determined as the Jews.

Elections

Max Musson of Western Spring suggests that electioneering is a waste of time in his article in the Sept/Oct issue of Heritage and Destiny. He concludes with the words:

“If we are to acquire the political power needed to prevent being race replaced, by the traitors at Westminster, we must concentrate our efforts elsewhere and pursue a non-electoral strategy designed to change  the balance of power by other means. Once we have achieved this, once we have ‘levelled’ the playing field somewhat, we will have the influence needed to pressure the establishment into conducting election fairly, or at least more fairly, and in this way, electioneering may once again become a viable route to power. For now however, electioneering is a futile waste of time and resources, falsely raising hopes among the more naive among us, only so those hopes can be cruelly dashed, and wasting both time and resources that we cannot afford to lose.”

The same argument was advanced by Colin Jordan in his 2013 article in Gothic Ripples entitled Party Time has Ended. His conclusion is similar to Max’s:

“Democracy’s deceit is all the time to proclaim to its spellbound public the prevalence of freedom, while preventing its exercise by a combination of contrivances. In this conspiracy of suppression the current revision of the Public Order Act is intended to turn the screw that much tighter on any Nationalist or National Socialist party as almost to paralyse it. Even a veritable miracle happened, and such a party did gain a majority of votes, can you believe that Democracy’s masters, faced with elimination, would accept the verdict of the ballot box, and meekly hand over control? A naked struggle would still ensue. It is thus not some option for us, but an ultimate necessity in any eventuality.”

No far-right candidate has ever been elected to the Westminster Parliament but elections are not a complete waste of time. Talking to people on the doorstep helps to spread the word and election campaigns attract donations. We should use any legal means at our disposal to resist Third World immigration and unrestrained capitalism. Public meetings are liable to be disrupted but they can be useful. Private meetings are good for boosting comradeship but they are obviously preaching to the converted. The internet is a brilliant means of communication and literature is still important. We should not rely on electioneering but we should not abandon it completely. Putting up candidates in suitable constituencies can be worthwhile but standing large numbers of candidates is likely to end in disappointment.

There are alternatives to elections. In 1922 Benito Mussolini led 30,000 armed Blackshirts in the March on Rome forcing
Liberal prime minister Luigi Facta to hand him power. Action Francaise and the Croix du Feu massed on the Place de la Concorde in Paris in 1934; sixteen of their men were shot dead by the police and hundreds wounded but they brought down the Cartel des Gauches government. General Francisco Franco won the Spanish Civil War in 1936 with a colonial army, a Falangist militia, and German and Italian support. But in 1933 Adolf Hitler put his faith in democracy and was duly elected with a massive majority.
