Savitri Devi

I regret that I never spoke to Savitri Devi in the old days when she associated with John Bean, John Tyndall, and Colin Jordan, but I recently read her book 'Gold in the Furnace' in which she recounts her journey through the ruins of Germany just after the war.

After being bombarded by 77 years of incesant propaganda it's unnerving to read of her undying love for Adolf Hitler and National Socialism.

"Our faith is unshakable. We know we are right. We know our dreams are in accordance with the unchangeable dictates of Nature and that we are, in all our activities, "co-workers with the Creator," to quote a scriptural expression. We know nothing can stand in our way, in the long run. Still, we feel, sometimes that the way is long, and our lives short. Will those of us who are now in their forties live long enough to see "the Day of freedom and of plenty" - the rise of a National Socialist world out of the ruin and desolation brought by the coming struggle between our enemies? Nobody knows."

But Savitri Devi was not a monster; she did not feel guilty about the Holocaust because she simply didnt believe it. Many people deny the Holocaust despite eyewitness accounts. I knew a former British officer who entered the Belsen concentration camp in 1945. He never claimed to have seen any gas chambers, but he saw thousands of dead and dying people. They probably died from typhoid and starvation, but they wouldn't have done so if they had not been rounded up and confined to the camp.

Holocaust denial was epitomised by Arnold Leese, the pre-war leader of the Imperial Fascist League, writing in 'Gothic Ripples' in 1953:

"The fable of the slaughter of six million Jews by Hitler has never been tackled by 'Gothic Ripples' because we take the view that we would have liked Hitler even better if the figure had been larger; we are so 'obsessed' by anti-Semitism' that we believe that as long as the destruction was done in a humane manner, it was to be to the advantage of everyone... if it had been true . However, it wasn't."

Savitri's faith was an eclectic mixture of Hinduism and National Socialism, and we know from the Brexit experience that faith has got nothing to do with logic. Savitri Devi was a highly educated woman who spoke several languages, but despite her intelligence she believed her own propaganda:

"There was a time when the personality of Adolf Hitler dominated European consciousness; when his voice stirred millions; when he used to pass by, on solemn occasions, cheered by millions - the idol of the nation whom he had raised from the abyss to unparralleled greatness. There was a time when Germany was prosperous, strong, full of self-confidence; when her reborn people, well-fed, well clothed, and well-housed, were happy to work together for a future in which they believed; when they lived, as they had yet never lived before, under the firm and wise rule of this Leader who loved them as no man ever had."

She was sentenced to two years imprisonment by the British occupation government for distributing Nazi propaganda leaflets in defeated Germany.

She was born in France in 1905 and died in England in 1982. She had a Greek father and an English mother; she carried a British-Indian passport, and she was married to a Bengali journalist, Asit Krishna Mukherji, but she always described herself as an Ayran.

Her imprisonment did nothing to diminish her determination:

"We never try to hide or to excuse our ruthlessness, which is a consequence of our earnestness. On the contrary, we have always said we would stop at nothing in pursuit of the mission appointed to us by Nature, which is to bear witness to the Golden Age truth against the spirit of these degenerate times. And we have proved it. We have done what we said. And we are ready to do it again."

In 'Gold in the Furnace' she mentions an English National Socialist who she admired. This man is identified by Greg Johnson, who runs the Savitri Devi archive, as Elwyn Wright, but he doesn't know anything about him. And nor does Geoff Wallder, compiler of the Friends of Mosley 18B Detainees List, which records that Captain Peter Elwyn Wright joined the BUF whilst in internment. This would not have been possible because the BUF was banned in 1940. If anyone has any information about Captain Wright please let me know.

'Gold in the Furnace', a fascinating book written by a brave but misguided woman is available from Amazon.

Misinformation

Whilst researching an article on Leslie Greene I came across a Wordpress blog called Beastrabban's Weblog, dated April 2014 which stated the following:

"As for the League of Empire Loyalists, this was a non party organisation set up by Arnold Leese, a former member of the British Union of Fascists."

The author made two blunders in the same sentence. In fact, the League of Empire Loyalists was set up by AK Chesterton, who was a former member of the BUF; Arnold Leese had nothing to do with the BUF or the LEL. He had been a member of the British Fascists until he left to found the Imperial Fascist League. He hated Miss Rotha Lintorn-Orman's BFs who he called "Conservatives with knobs on", and he dismissed Oswald Mosley's BUF as "Kosher Fascists."

This sloppy and inaccurate journalism is typical of the anti-fascists. When they are not telling lies they are getting their facts wrong. But they are just the sort of people who are called as 'expert witnesses' whenever some naive student is hauled before the courts charged with 'hate crimes'.

Home Secretary Priti Patel (pictured) is deflecting criticism of her controversial deportation policy by launching a new wave of prosecutions against so-called fascists. A campaign that has been greatly assisted by the criminal behaviour of a few demented individuals. It's wrong to advocate or excuse violence, but most critics of mass migration are not motivated by hatred or revenge, they are only trying to save their country from being overrun by the surplus popluation of the Third World.

It's ironic that the daughter of Indian refugees from East Africa is trying to send failed asylum seekers to Rwanda. With the supreme arrogance that comes naturally to the Tories she denies the mercy that was shown to her parents.

The government of Boris Johnson relies on misinformation. They claim to have regained control of our borders but immigration, both legal and illegal, is at record levels. They claim to have "Got Brexit Done" but the Northern Ireland problem is unresolved and the US has indicated that no trade agreement with the UK is possible if we break the Northern Ireland Protocol. This is not interference on the part of the Americans, they are guarantors of the Good Friday Agreement and have every right to intervene. The Tories live by rule breaking and deception, they are funded by big business and protected by the mass media, but nevertheless their days are numbered. The current cost of living crisis has now hit the middle class. The poor have always been with us and they are used to it but the middle class will not be prepared to see their living conditions eroded.

Retirement

I loved my job in the Construction Industry and I was reluctant to retire. I thought that I would be bored as an old age pensioner but I took the advice of an old friend and started blogging and attending political meetings. In this way I renewed old aquaintances and made new friends.

The retirement pension in the UK is not enough to live on. The government can find the money to give arms to Ukraine but they can't look after our old people. I would strongly reccomend younger readers to make provision for their old age. You can't rely on the government, they are only interested in working taxpayers.

And I would advise the older generation to have a good funeral suit and a black tie. I have lost count of the number of funerals that I have attended in recent years. Our numbers might be decreasing on earth but they are booming in that better place that we aspire to. In my case it's Heaven complete with harps and angels, but some of my friends expect to go to Valhala to join their warlike ancestors. My friend Eddie Morrison was a self-confessed athiest but he frequently referred to Valhala.

Nowadays conversations with my peers tend to be about health matters rather than politics. We compare the drugs we take like foolish teenagers. We are not concerned with cocaine or cannabis but with statins and diuretics. Following a recent gathering in central London I walked to the station with two old friends who were as creaky as I am. As we limped along, looking rather like Napolean's retreat from Moscow, the words of an old song came to mind: "We are the front fighters of the NSDAP - forward we march to the final victory..."

But, thanks to our splendid National Health Service, I have had my cataracts done, and with medication for my heart condition, eczema, and arthritis, I lead a reasonably active life. In any case, I can't die when I have loyal readers awaiting my next blog.

The BNP Membership List

I recently came across the infamous 2008 British National Party membership list published by Wikileaks. It's amazing what you can find on the Internet. Wikileaks was founded by Australian journalist Julian Assange (pictured) who is currently confined to Bellmarsh maximum-security prison in London awaiting deportation to the United States where he is wanted for disclosing alleged American war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has committted no crime in the UK.

The publication of the BNP membership list horrified those listed who are paranoid at the best of times. Some had genuine fears for their jobs if they were identified, but most of them simply felt violated.

Thinking that they might be interested in 'Nation Revisited' and 'European Outlook', I emailed them, but more than half the messages bounced back. People do change their email providers, and given the demographic of the BNP it's likely that most of them have passed away in the last 14 years.

The average white working class member of the BNP would probably not be interested in economics but you never know your luck. Many of them are uneducated but some are well-read and receptive.

I always include in my alerts the advice, "to unsubscribe reply with 'delete'. This is to comply with the Data Protection Act, and to save wasting time with people who are not interested. I don't keep data unnecessarily.

An American reader has kindly passed our links to several of his friends, this helps our circulation but the warning attached by Google to 'European Outlook' doesn't help. It's also unfair because I don't promote racism - which I believe to be hatred for others - I simply want to preserve our own people.

Articles from readers are welcome providing they keep to the rules and don't exceed 500 words. You can leave a message on the comments facility at the end of the blogs, or contact me at - nationrevisited.gmail.com

The Anti-Russian Campaign

The media campaign against Russia has increased with the war in Ukraine, but it didn't start there. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 we expected the Cold War to be over. The new Russian regime was committed to representative democracy and a market economy. Communism was dead and there was no reason for the West to fear Russia. But instead of trying to be friends with the Russians our government followed America in being hostile to them. It's true that Russia pursues her enemies around the world, but so do we. British Special Forces shot dead three IRA terrorist in Gibraltar in 1988 and US Navy Seals killed Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan in 2011.

The Ukrainian situation is not as clear cut as our media makes out. The Kiev regime discriminated against her ethnic Russian population to the point of banning the Russian language. And when the people of the Donbas region formed their own republics to protect themselves they were bombed and shelled by the Ukrainian armed forces. This provocation has been going on since 2014, but you don't read a word about it in our one-sided newspapers.

The American economy is heavily dependent on the defence industry; what President Eisenhower called "The Military Industrial Complex." The Federation of American Scientists has catalogued over 200 military incursions since 1945 in which the US has been the aggressor. The great American historian Charles A Beard called this strategy "Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace." It's good for Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, and Raytheon but it's bad for Britain. We should not be arming Zelensky and waging economic war on Russia when we know that the Ukraine cant win. The war will eventually be settled around the conference table; let it be sooner rather than later.
