International Finance

The Jews don't have a monopoly on International Finance. They became moneylenders in ancient times because both Christians and Muslims forbade usury, but today, people of all races and religions are involved.

The main financiers are the banks. The world's largest bank is the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China with assets of $5.5 trillion. The next three largest banks are also Chinese; China Commercial Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, and the Bank of China.

The tech giants; Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft also generate billions of dollars. Elon Musk the South African-born owner of Space X, Twitter, and Pay Pal is worth $198 billion.

The worlds largest oil company is Saudi Aramco followed by Sinopec (China), China National Petroleum Corporation, Exxon-Mobile (USA), Shell (UK/Netherlands), Total (France), BP (UK), Chevron (USA), Marathon (USA), Phillips (USA), Rosneft (Russia).

The top ten pharmaceutical companies also make huge profits: Johnson & Johnson (USA) $82.06 billion, Hoffman-La Roche (Switzerland) $ 63.85 billion, Pfizer (USA) $51 billion, Bayer (Germany) $48.02 billion.

National governments tax the profits of these giant corporations but they minimise their tax bills by operating all over the world.

It's not possible for every country to fend for itself. The United States and the Russian Federation are so blessed with natural resources that they are practically self-sufficient, but the UK has to import food and energy to survive. And we rely on foreign investment for our industries, universities, railways, communications, football teams, and power generation.

Britain pioneered global capitalism in the 18th century with the Bank of England, the East India Company and Lloyd's of London. British capital built the railways in India, Africa and North and South America. British shipyards and foundries supplied the armies and navies of the world, and within the captive market of the British Empire people drove tractors, trucks, cars, and motorbikes made in the motherland. 

But nothing lasts forever; by the First World War nations such as Germany and the United States began to overtake us. Today, Britain is both a giver and a taker of investments. This was demonstrated when the brief tenure of Liz Truss as prime minister of the UK was ended by the Market's adverse reaction to her revolutionary budget proposals. The pound dived against the dollar and she was gone within days. Bankers and brokers crave stability and distrust experimental economics.

Stock markets enable businessmen to raise capital and they provide income for pension funds, but unscrupulous traders abuse the system by using insider information and trickery. Nathan Rothschild (pictured) was a German bullion dealer who financed Wellington's army in the Peninsular War. He conspicuously sold British bonds to indicate a French victory at the Battle of Waterloo, but when they reached rock bottom he bought them back and made a killing on the Stock Exchange. He lent the British government the money to compensate slave owners after the abolition of slavery, and to purchase the Suez Canal. Today, Rothschild & Co control a worldwide financial empire with assets of £14.7 billion and 3,500 employees.

Since the Napoleonic Wars Britain has relied on government borrowing to fight the Crimean War, the South African War, the First World War, the Second World War, and the Korean War. Now we are borrowing money to pay for the Subprime Mortgage Crisis, the Covid Pandemic, the Cost of Living Crisis, and the war in Ukraine.

International finance and world trade are interconnected. The disastrous Brexit experiment demonstrates the myth of national independence. The UK is not one iota less indebted to international finance for leaving the European Union. We live in a global economy and no single nation can successfully function outside of it. Only a self-sufficient bloc of nations with a determined government could possibly challenge the System. At present there is little sign of such a development, but if we had the infrastructure in place we would only need the will to make it happen.

The Green Book

Muammar Al Gaddafi (pictured) published his Green Book in 1976 but I have only just read it. It's a simple statement of socialist and nationalist principles. He states:

" In the social sense, the familial society is better than that of the tribe, the tribal society is better than that of the nation, and the society of the nation is better than world society with respect to fellowship, affection, solidarity and benefits."

Gaddafi's views were well received by 'progressives' in the West, except perhaps for his traditionalist thoughts on women:

"Physical structure, which is naturally different in men and women, leads to differences in the functions of the organs, which in turn leads to differences in the psyche, mood, emotions, as well as in physical appearance. A woman is tender; a woman is pretty; a woman weeps easily and is easily frightened. In general, women are gentle and men are aggressive by virtue of their inbred nature.

To ignore natural differences between men and women and to mix their roles is an absolutely uncivilized attitude, hostile to the laws of nature, destructive to human life, and a genuine cause for the wretchedness of human social life." 

I remember a meeting of the London Forum some years ago when someone mentioned Gaddafi and was promptly shouted down by a prominent nationalist who declared that Gaddafi was "a bastard who supported the IRA." It was true that he armed the IRA, but the trouble is that nationalists do not respect other people's nationalism. The German Nazis ignored Austrian fascism when they murdered Engelbert Dolfuss, leader of the Fatherland Front, and the Italian fascists ignored the nationalist regime of General Metaxis when they invaded Greece. In the same way, the National Front and similar movements hated Irish Nationalism which was a legitimate cause to Gaddafi.

This conflict of interest was illustrated when Michael Collins and Winston Churchill signed the Irish Free State Agreement in 1922. Churchill said to Collins "This could cost me my job" and Collins replied prophetically "This could cost me my life." 

Gaddafi used his country's oil revenues to build a socialist state which was destroyed by a coalition of Western powers intent on plundering his country. He was eventually murdered in 2011 by French Special Forces masquerading as Libyan dissidents.

There is nothing remarkable about Gaddafi's Green Book or his Third Universal Theory which rejects both capitalism and communism, but his ideas deserve to be studied. Gaddafi's murder was celebrated by Dave Cameron, the British prime minister who called a referendum on Europe and then ran away.

Gaddafi signed an agreement with Italy to stop sub-Saharan migrants from crossing the Mediterranean to Europe, but when he was murdered the traffic started again. Yet another own goal by Dave Cameron. When the history of this period is written it will be the Libyan revolutionary leader who is remembered and not the slippery old Etonian.

JT and the Holocaust

John Tyndall never believed in the Holocaust. He thought that it was a fabrication designed to gain reparations from Germany and sympathy for Israel. This stance was popular with some of his followers but it damaged the movements he led. Rightly or wrongly the British public accepted the Holocaust as historical fact and rejected its denial.

The following extracts are from correspondence entrusted to me by Marion Bean on the death of her husband in 2021.

John Bean to John Tyndall 29th July 1994.

"As I am sure you know, you and I had and still have differences of opinion on many issues, not least that I believe that Jews were put to death in 42-45 in large numbers and I condemn it."

John Tyndall to John Bean 1st August 1994.

"I can quite readily appreciate that it is sometimes desirable , in order to grab an opportunity for a public platform, not to get involved publicly in the 'holocaust' argument. I therefore do not criticise your non-involvement in this issue in the public context. However, I am utterly astounded to hear that you actually believe privately in the 'holocaust' myth. There has in recent years been a rich bibliography of writings which conclusively repudiate the idea that there was any planned and governmentally determined scheme to exterminate the Jews in Europe at any time during 1933-45 - although few would deny that there were localised atrocities committed on the order of minor commanders and officials under duress of the brutalising influence of war. This of course happened on both sides."

John Tyndall was right about many things but he was wrong about the Holocaust. The numbers may be disputed but there's no doubt that European Jews were rounded up by the Nazis and sent to camps where they died from disease, starvation and deliberate cruelty. This is entrenched in the public's consciousness and revisionist propaganda will not change their minds.

The Knowsley Riot - Mark Webb

We saw some protests and disturbances in the Knowsley area of Merseyside outside a cheap hotel that caters for asylum seekers/refugees. The Suites Hotel is a mid sized hostel style hotel that the local social services use as a dumping ground for males from the Middle East and Africa. Locals gathered as they objected to a series of incidents involving these these males and local schoolgirls (in school uniform) from a nearby school. Sexual harassment and threats of sexual harm had been made. So some of the local dads, mums and kids turned up and protested outside. A group of teenage girls joined them as did a group of teenage males and some older men. Forming a line down Ribbers Lane.

Some held up B4 leaflets marked 'This is our city'. Others chanted 'Leave our kids alone'.

This quickly escalated as the police arrived and rival pro-asylum seeker groups turned up and launched a counter protest.

A police van was set on fire and objects thrown at the police, at the hotel, at the protesters and at the counter protesters. Early reports said that three people had been arrested, but later that was amended to fifteen people. Charged with violent disorder, violent conduct.

Interestingly all the mainstream media failed to produce a single image of any objects being thrown or indeed any violence apart from the image of the police van burning. All the media outlets also claimed that the protest was organised by 'the far-right'.

The Independent claimed that the protest was organised by 'an anti-immigrant group'. They failed to name the group, but they quoted Care 4 Calais (a pro-immigrant group) who stated that the protest was organised by 'the far-right'.

The term far-right was echoed on Twitter (also published in the Independent) by the Refugee Action Chief Executive Tim Naor Hilton who stated, "If you're a part of a baying mob outside a hotel where refugees live then you're far-right, even if you don't like being called that."

To further drive home the media's far-right connection to the event, The Guardian led with the headline, "Far-right protesters clash with police."

I spent two days looking through all the far-right websites, their blogs and tweets, to see which 'far-right' group organised the protest. I looked at Britain First, the BNP, NF, EDL and many other smaller groups. There was no call for action on that night by any group. No mention of the protest on their websites. The closest I could find was on the Britain First website, a photo of three men holding a banner outside a hostel in Hale called Ashley Hotel, back on the 7th Feb.  It was a daytime photo. The banner's message was unclear.

If a person is white and they talk about immigration or race, the media will instantly label them 'racist'. If they demonstrate about it, then the media will label them as 'Far-Right', 'Neo-Nazis' and 'Fascists'.

If the media intends to label every person who's angry or upset about uncontrolled immigration as a Nazi, then they will drive many people into the hands of the far-right. The events that took place on Friday night seem to have involved scores of people rather than hundreds. It was a few very upset locals that had a melee with the police and some local communists. The event was hugely blown out of all proportion by the media. A 'White Race Riot' is a great story for the media. Clearly this was not the case.

How did Sweden become Europe's capital of gun crime? - Mark Webb

When I think of Sweden, I think of blonde hair, IKEA, ABBA, Bjorn Borg and meatballs. I think of an ordered society, one with a very high standard of living and I think of places of outstanding natural beauty. These things also come to mind for many people I'm sure. Sadly, things have changed and today Sweden is now the capital of European gun crime. There's more gun crime related deaths in Sweden that in any country in Europe (4 million when the Euro average is 1.4). In the year 2021 there were 342 reported non-accidental, non-suicidal shootings, resulting in death. That figure doesn't count police involved shootings. In the Swedish city of Malmo they have had 298 shootings from 2014-2021. In 2020 they had 41 gun murders in one year in one small neighbourhood. Many of these are broad daylight shootings. People (often teens) being shot in public places, town squares, parks and while in cafes. The weapons used being AKs or automatic pistols.

These are the official figures. Unofficially and off the record, both the police and those who know the word on the street are saying that there are many more shootings, stabbings and even bombings, that go unreported and uninvestigated.

For years now Sweden has suffered from higher than average crime rates, when compared to other EU countries, especially those crimes of a violent nature; assaults, sexual assaults, hate crimes etc. Rape is at an all time high.

The Swedish Police have tried to be proactive. They have had firearms amnesties. One in 2013 where 15,000 guns were handed in, in the south of the country. Swedish Police took 1,180 guns off the streets in 2018 and in a gun amnesty, also in 2018, they saw 12,000 firearms handed in. The law in Sweden is strict on weapons ownership. For guns it's over 18s with a clean record, reason for wanting a weapon, have to pass a safety course, be vetted, be a member of a gun club. Weapons such as hunting and target rifles, shotguns, all needing a license, checks etc. Also requiring a license are all air guns, airsoft weapons, paintball guns, you even need a license to own and use a starting pistol. All blade carry is banned except a Swiss Army knife, and only then if you are over 21. Pepper spray is legal but a special permit is required to own it. The gun laws in Sweden are strict and they are getting stricter. All this has done is to punish firearm's owners. As always it's easier to have a crack down on the lawful, the legally owned and the licensed. 

So the question is, why all the gun violence? One fifth of the population of Sweden (total population 10.4 million) were not born in Sweden (some 2.7 million non-ethnic Swedes. They are immigrants and refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Turkey etc. Coming into Sweden at a rate of 110,000 per year. Mass unchecked immigration took place in the recent past with Sweden taking more refugees (per capita) than any other country in the EU. In amongst the immigrant population, slipping in under the wire, have been ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Muslim Brother and others of the Jihadist ilk. Now the blowback from that has 44% of Swedish voters saying that immigration is the number one political issue. The Swedish PM said in early 2022 that Sweden had failed to integrate its immigrants. The far-right and mainstream parties of all shades are turning increasingly anti-immigrant. The immigrants are in 60 areas, labelled 'areas of concern', huge estates that have high quality social housing. They have benefits, aid, support etc, and they can take a state pension at 61. They get free education, health care and a reduced travel rate.

The response to this Swedish hospitality has been Middle Eastern style rioting, grenade attacks, and car burnings. Stockholm currently has 15 gang disputes all raging at the same time. Drugs imported over the border from Denmark are fueling the gang violence. With 17,000 kids a year dropping out of school before the age of 16 and tens of thousands of parentless refugees coming into the country, there's an ample amount of new blood. There's 5,000 Euros to be made a week for a young person selling drugs in Sweden. Big money. 

The Swedes had a reputation for being the least racist people in Europe; neutral, accepting and peaceful. It seems that their hospitality has not been repaid. Sweden is the only country in Europe where gun deaths are rising. Let's be logical, this isn't about guns, and it's not about race and colour either, it's about culture and perspective. There's a chronic lack of education in the immigrant community. They have the lowest grades and the highest levels of unemployment. If you insert a huge percentage of people from another culture into your culture in a very short space of time this is what you get; 2,500 shootings in 5 years (2016-2021). Gun crime is out of control. Murder was a rare thing in Sweden, now it's an everyday event.

Why has gun crime proved to be so lethal? According to gunshot surgeon Dr Ardavan Khoshnood of Malmo Central hospital, the gunshots are mostly to the head. Sweden has no law against wearing a bullet resistant vest, hence the practice amongst gang members is widespread. Thus, the shooters aim for the heads and necks of their gang rivals. Unsurvivable wounds result -  a gunshot to the head has only a 5% survival rate. Of course it's not all gang members getting killed, a young mum was hit and killed by a stray round from a gunfight in 2019, and a schoolgirl was killed in the cross fire as she walked to school in 2022. A young female hostel worker was knifed to death trying to break up a fight in an immigrant hostel; stabbed in the heart by a Somali.

There's a perfect storm of events. The incoming population has no loyalty to Sweden, or to Swedish Law, and they don't speak the language. Sweden was a peaceful society, having not been to war since 1814 they are simply not used to such levels of crime, violence and terrorism. The people arriving are coming from war-torn countries and they have been in war zones, either as fighters or victims, driven into mental illness by combat exposure. A sizeably number of the 'new citizens' of Sweden have become foreign fighters, travelling back to the Middle East to fight in the Jihad, then returning yet again to safety in Sweden. Yet people have been afraid to speak out about all this for fear of being branded a racist. 

Sweden has been neutral for 200 years; sending peacekeepers but not going to war. Now the war has come to them! They imported it.

Why does this matter? Sweden is in the process of joining NATO. It was stopped from doing so by Turkey who objected as a number of Kurdish organisations, considered terrorists by the Turks, are based in Sweden. It was estimated by Swedish Police that around 200 jihadists were in Sweden in 2007, now here are thousands of them. There's been 'lone wolf' attacks by Muslim men driving cars and trucks into crowds. In a recent 2022 poll, 48% of Swedes said they were deeply concerned about terrorist attacks. Around 1 in 5 white native Swedes say they support far-right parties and will vote for them. It's an election year in Sweden. We'll see what happens. Sweden is unstable. As a new NATO member right now they might do more harm than good. Other NATO allies relying on Sweden to support the anti-Russian effort will need to watch their backs! Neutral Sweden is no longer neutral.

Bring on the Recession

In the Second World War the UK produced some of the best aircraft in the world. We beat the mighty Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain and prevented a German invasion. This was thanks to our brave pilots, including our allies, and it was also because we had the necessary engineering and design skills. When the war was over we got back on our feet by churning out cars and motorcycles for the export market; we even produced our own atomic bomb.

The scientists and engineers who made this possible are all dead now and the skills that they passed on to their apprentices are in danger of being forgotten.

Years ago I was working in Peterborough where they have a steam railway called the Nene Valley Line. The enthusiasts who run the railway were having difficulty finding a locomotive engineer. That's understandable because steam is an obsolete form of power, but we are also short of electrical and mechanical engineers.

In the UK the change from being an industrial economy to a service economy has gone too far. Germany and France have similar economies to us but they have preserved much more of their manufacturing base. This transformation was inevitable given the industrial rise of Japan and China, but it was aided and abetted by our greedy bosses.

Capitalism is not nostalgic. Big businessmen don't care if we import everything as long as they make a profit. The Tories are now offering farmers £100,000 to retire, so that they can import cheap food from abroad, and 'redevelop' our countryside. Having destroyed our industries they now want to destroy our agriculture. Instead of being a nation of farmers and skilled craftsmen we will all work for Amazon.

Now that we have left the EU the Tory dream of the gig economy is becoming a reality. First they will get rid of what they call Red Tape; employment protection laws, and health and safety regulations. Then the will introduce American-style 'hire and fire' policies that rob the working man of all dignity.

If the Tories are not stopped soon we will lose our skills and be dependent on imported goods and labour. We are already facing massive price increases for gas and oil. Liz Truss, who used to work for Shell and presuamably has shares in the company, is borrowing an estimated £150 billion to pay the energy companies. This collosal sum will be paid back out of taxation. In other words, we are being bribed with our own money.

Our best hope is that the coming recession will force a change in economic policy. Our brainwashed public usually does as it's told by the Sun and the Daily Mail, but a period of deep austerity might just spur them into action.

Sanctions Folly

The United States uses sanctions, or economic warfare, to enforce its foreign policy. They can throw their weight about because the US is the world's biggest economy and the foremost military power. They are also self-sufficient in gas and oil, and they can feed themselves with their own produce.

The same blessings do not apply to the United Kingdom. We have sadly depleted armed forces, and we import half of our food and fuel, but our delusional government follows the US like a faithful puppy. The sanctions we are levelling against Russia are hurting us more than them. We could have signed long-term contracts with Gazprom and Rosneft that would have given us gas and oil at the same advantageous rates as India and China. Instead we have made an enemy of Russia just to placate the US.

We are currently waging economic war on Russia, Belarus, China, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, and Venezuela. None of these countries are any threat to us; we are targeting them for human rights abuses or simply because they have defied America.

It's time that we faced reality. We are no longer a great empire on which the Sun never sets. We are a European country like France or Germany. We are part of the G7 group of nations and we are a nuclear power with a seat on the UN Security Council. We are a leading economy with good social services and transport links, but we are not in the same poweful position as the United States and it's time we realised it.

The last time we acted as an imperial power was the Suez fiasco of 1956. We invaded Egypt, together with France and Israel, without American permission and were ordered out by a furious President Eisenhower (pictured). Faced with the threat of American sanctions our delusional prime minister, Anthony Eden, was forced to obey. That was before the 1973 Yom Kippur War when the Zionists hijacked American foreign policy by bribing corrupt Congressmen with dollars donated to Israel by the American taxpayers. An ingenious scam that persists to this day.

The Falklands Conflict was a legitimate British response to an invasion in which America had no interest. Our task force defeated the Argentine expeditionary force at great costs in blood and treasure. Our Harrier jet fighters performed brilliantly but the loss of a quarter of our navy showed the vulnerability of ships to missile attack. 

Our interventions in the Balkans, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Afghanistan were part of NATO offensives that did nothing for the UK, except to flood us with refugees. We should have minded our own business in the past and we should certainly do so in the future.

Beware of Experts

Rishi Sunak, the defeated contender for the prime minister's job, wanted to maintain high rates of tax but the victorious Liz Truss (pictured) promised immediate tax cuts. At the same time the Governor of the Bank of England raised interest rates to control inflation, but most economists thought that he had left it too late. All of these people are highly educated and surrounded by economists and statisticians, but the truth is that none of them know what's coming. The target interest rate was calculated by the BOE to be 2% but it's actually 10%.

Of course there are many reasons for our predicament; the pandemic shutdown, the war in Ukraine, the disruption of Brexit, and green taxes, have all played their part. But I can't help feeling that the global capitalist system needs a recession every so often. Every time that the working class enjoys a period of prosperity a recession puts them back in their place.

The current wave of inflation will eventually subside because "what goes up must come down." When people reduce their spending prices will fall. And the fighting in Ukraine will end when the West runs out of money to support Zelensky and he flees to Israel. 

This is contrary to expert opinion. Liz Trust thinks that Ukraine is winning the war, and she predicts that tax cuts will revive our stagnant economy. At the moment the pound is nearing parity with the dollar. A further decline in productivity could force a fall in the value of the pound which would increase the cost of imports and increase inflation.

We will get over this crisis just as we got over the Oil Crisis of 1974 and the subprime mortgage crisis of 2008. Economics is not just about theories and calculations, it's also about resources and industrial potential. The UK is an advanced nation with world class universities. At present our relationship with the EU is strained but eventually we will negotiate a proper deal with the world's most successful trading bloc. Our proximity to the mainland will prove more powerful than the petty nationalism of the Brexiteers.

In the meantime we will struggle to pay for our food, fuel and mortgages. In other words we will get poorer for five or ten years before we recover. The moral of this story is beware of experts, be as self-sufficient as possible, and keep out of foreign wars.

British Independence

The 52% of the participating electorate that voted for Brexit wanted an independent Britain that decides its own future. They rejected the economic argument for our membership of the European Union and voted with their hearts instead of their heads. We have now left the EU and we are supposed to have 'got our country back', but how independent are we?

The UK has followed America in most major conflicts. When British forces fought in the Korean War, as part of the United Nations, we had little choice in the matter because we were heavily in debt to America. 

The Suez crisis of 1956 was the last time that we went to war without American permission. We invaded Egypt together with France and Israel in response to Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser's nationalisation of the Suez Canal, whereupon, a furious President Dwight D Eisenhower threatened us with economic reprisals unless we withdrew our forces. Prime Minister Anthony Eden promptly obeyed the American diktat and then resigned on the grounds of ill health.

Prime Minister Harold Wilson, to his eternal credit, refused to send British forces to Vietnam. The warmongering Tories supported America and the discredited KGB defector Antoli Golitsyn accused Wilson of being a Soviet agent, but he stuck to his guns and kept us out of it.

The Falklands Conflict was different because America had no strategic interest in a war between Britain and Argentina. President Ronald Reagan, who enjoyed a special relationship with Margaret Thatcher, was reputed to be 'instinctively' supportive of Britain but he did not intervene.

Britain followed America in the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. There were massive demonstrations all over the country, particularly against the Iraq War, but Prime Minister Tony Blair was determined to find 'weapons of mass destruction' that never existed.

                             

British foreign policy is tied to America by NATO and because our so-called independent nuclear deterrent depends on rented Trident missiles that are kept under lock and key at the US Navy submarine base at Kings Bay, Georgia.

NATO is the military arm of American foreign policy in Europe. That's not a problem when British and American interests coincide, but we should be able to pursue our own objectives. For instance, Britain has no quarrel with Belarus or Iran but we are imposing economic sanctions against them just to please America. Until we can agree a common foreign policy with our neighbours, that takes account of British interests, we should mind our own business.

Security - Mark Webb

They have a security guard inside the former Camberwell Police Station and two others outside 24 hours a day. The outside guys have guard dogs. As private security companies go they are pretty typical, they cover night clubs, commercial properties, and football matches. The managers are well trained and experienced, but the vast majority of the staff are not. Large private security companies are providing everything from CCTV operators to door supervisors. Massive profits are being made but standards are poor. 

From the 1970s until the 2010s there was a prolonged gang war in cities like London and Manchester over drugs, protection rackets, and door security. Doormen were shot at on a regular basis as the gangs fought to control the pub and club security trade. Running the doors was the key to getting drugs into the club scene. This led to the 'door wars' of the 90s with gangs from Salford closing clubs with violence, and the 1995 Rettendon murders. I was working the door at the 'Hope' club in Ilford the night that fellow door staff were shot and killed around the corner at the Lighthouse'. One of the worst nights of my life. The girlfriend of one of the murdered guys upon hearing the news tried to commit suicide by eating broken glass.

Post that era there was better legislation and a huge government push to get people trained in security ahead of the 2012 Olympics. G4S failed to fulfil its security contract and the government had to draft in the army at the very last second to cover the shortfall. Post 2012 a wave of 'cheap as chips' security companies have been hiring basically anyone to cover retail, corporate and other security. What's missing is oversight on the training and hiring. Another factor was a wave of Eastern European guys doing door work in Liverpool, Leeds, London etc. Lots of Poles, Slovaks and guys from the Baltic States who, at the first sign of trouble on the doors, would be extremely violent in response. They were always looking for a fight, and they drove down wages. Club door staff were getting £300 plus a night; that halved and has stayed low ever since. Many security companies try hard but the big corporations  want cheap labour, especially in retail where they are expected to deter criminals, prevent theft, look after the shopping baskets, pick up litter and do a dozen things that arent really anything to do with security. Hence the rise of facilities management companies.

Outsourcing everything to FMCs has seen them take over cleaning, plumbing, heating, security, immigration  centers, youth detention, social housing, Covid testing centers, cars, homes, nursing etc.  They also buy up other service providers to form a monopoly.

The better security staff are leaving the profession which is taken over by old men, boys, people who can barely speak English, burned out former cops and prison officers. If you want proper professional security it doesn't come cheap. Residents in Chelsea, Mayfair and Knighsbridge pay a premium for reputable security firms that patrol these exclusive neighbouhoods around the clock and keep the crime levels low. They are replacing the Police because community safety has become a commodity that's bought and sold. 

War Surplus

America has pulled out of Afghanistan leaving $85 billion worth of military hardware behind them. According to Republican Jim Banks who served in Afghanistan as a military sales officer, this includes; 75,000 vehicles, over 200 aeroplanes and helicopters, over 600,000 small arms and light weapons. We dont know where these weapons might turn up. The Taliban have a history of working with terrorist groups throughout the world and their potential customers are well-funded by the Gulf States, who are supposed to be our allies.

This is a windfall for the victorious Taliban and for the Big Five defence contractors; Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Boeing, and Northrop Grumnan. They are what President Dwight D Eisenhower famously called the 'Military Industrial Complex'. He was not a crank or a conspiracy theorists, he was a brilliant military organiser and a statesman who knew exactly what he was talking about.

America's tragic involvement with Afghanistan started back in the 80s when they backed the Mujahideen who were fighting the Soviet occupation. They became the Taliban who turned Afghanistan into a brutal dictatorship that sheltered Osama Bin Laden. In response to the 9/11 attacks America invaded the country to oust the Taliban and install a compliant but totally corrupt regime. Now, twenty years later, the Americans and their NATO allies have retreated. They eventaully killed Osama Bin Laden, who was dying of kidney failure, in neighbouring Pakistan but their attempt to impose democracy on a tribal society was a bloody and costly failure. 

Borowed Money

The Tories used to be careful with our money but Boris Johnson is spending it like a drunken sailor. Events have conspired to empty our coffers. Brexit saved us our contribution to the EU but the loss of trade and Regional Fund payments costs a lot more. Then came Covid 19, an unexpected and unprecedented drain on our resources. And now we face another refugee crisis, this time from Afghanistan.

The Tories are reluctant to increase income tax because voters might not like it, and they are unlikely to increase corporation tax because most of them are shareholders, or directors, of the companies that would be penalised. 

They could make savings on public spending but vital services such as Health, Education, and Policing are already underfunded. Defence is often proposed for budget cuts but our spending is in line with our neighbours and subject to NATO requirements. We could save a few billion pounds by scrapping Trident but we must have nuclear weapons to keep our seat on the United Nations Security Council.

They will probably use underhand tactics. They have already increased the retirement age for state pensions, the next step could be qualified entitlement. Hard-working people who have paid into private pension plans could be denied a state pension. This would not harm the millionaires in Boris Johnson's Cabinet, men like Jacob Rees-Mogg who owns half of North Somerset, but it would seriously effect the majority of pensioners. Governments have always liked 'means testing' since the days when hard-faced benefit officers ordered desperate applicants to sell the piano.

When the Falklands War ended Margaret Thatcher was asked in Parliament how much it had costs the taxpayers. She replied that the conflict had been covered by money set aside for such emergencies. And she was telling the truth. In those days we actually had money to spare, unlike today when we rely on borrowing that will have to be paid back by taxpayers yet unborn. The answer is not austerity; we tried that and it didn't work. We must grow our economy by increasing production and stop wasting our money on drink, drugs, pornography, and gambling. Money that would be better invested in government bonds.

The Knights Templars of Albion 

Life is full of surprises. I recently discovered that my nephew, Nick Hall, is Grand Master of the Knights Templars of Albion. This is a Christian organisation with ancient roots that claims to be non-political, non-racist, and non-secterian. They are devoted to historical research and charitable works. They are not the same order to which former BNP leader Nick Griffin belongs. Free Speech

Nation Revisited and European Outlook are issued in defence of Free Speech. 'Nation Revisited' recalls a duplicated newsletter entitled 'Nation' that I distributed from the Bladebone pub in Bethnal Green in the Seventies. European Outlook was launched to fight for Britain's place in Europe but we coldn't compete with The Daily Mail and The Sun.

My Group Mailing List is used to alert readers to the latest posting. From time to time new readers contact me but some readers pass away, or succumb to dementia, and others unsubscribe. Fortunately I don't rely on my GML because the majority of readers log-on unprompted or are redirected by friendly websites.

In the old days we used to sell papers on street corners or door to door. That was hard and occasionally dangerous work but now, thanks to the Internet, I can reach my readers with a click of a mouse. 

I distrust parliamentary democracy because so many politicians are in the pay of big business; but I cherish Free Speech and I deplore government moves to control the Internet, allegedly to catch pedeophiles and terrorists. We're all against the promotion of violence and child pornography but our right to communicate must be protected.

Degrees of Nationalism.

Many English people can't understand why some Scots support the Scottish National Party and the EU at the same time. The fact is that nationalism comes in degrees from tribalism to imperialism. British nationalists embrace England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales but they reject European federalism.

John Tyndall refused to accept that the old dominions were entitled to their own nationalism; he thought they should embrace British nationalism. I have never been to Canada but I have lived and worked in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and I can say with certainty that they each have their own identities and aspirations. JT imagined that the Afrikaners are British but they would not agree with him, like the Irish, they fought long and hard for their independence from the British Empire.

British imperialists believed in our divine right to rule over lesser races. This idea lasted until February 1942 when General Percival surrendered the British garrison at Singapore to General Yamashita. But attitudes often lag behind history and the British, myself included, were still celebrating imperialism long after the Union Jack had been lowered on yet another black dictatorship.

When Britain ruled half the world only the Irish fought for independence within the British Isles but now that the Empire has gone we are witnessing an upsurge of Scottish and Welsh nationalism. But it's not at all clear what 'independence' means in a global economy.

Nationality is a state of mind. British passports can be bought in the street markets of Karachi, but the possession of such a document does not make one British. Europe is another state of mind, it's not just the landmass between the Atlantic and the Urals, it's the great civilisation that we are part of. Patriotism is all very well on the sports field, but petty nationalism always results in hostility.

The idea of Europe united as a collection of nation states is gaining popularity but without a unifying philosophy such a union is unlikely to succeed. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was formed from the Slav nations of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but the new kingdom hardly got going when it was devastated by the Second World War. The invading Axis forces dismembered Yugoslavia before they were driven out by the Partisans under Marshal Tito. He died in 1980 and within a decade Yugoslavia had disintegrated. Tito was a Croat who lived in Serbia, and he was a communist who defied the Soviet Union. His authoritarian regime united the country but when he died ancient resentments emerged and the Balkans took a giant step backwards.  

Archeofuturism

Our friend Piers Mellor has alerted us to the website of the Archeofuturist Front. www.archeofuturist.org 

This movement was inspired by Guillaume Faye (pictured) the so-called "Mad Bastard" of the French New Right who died last year. He attempted to combine the virtues of the old and the new. Archeofuturism has been described as "the organic principle that heralds the marriage of antiquity with postmodernism." Guillaume Faye predicted "a convergence of catastrophes." His philosophy respected tradition whilst welcoming modernity. According to Faye, the inherent genius of the white race is not dead but merely dormant. He predicted that the 21st century will see a revival of European solidarity and a great reawakening of the European spirit. Let's hope that he is right. 

This website will be of no interest to insular nationalists but those of us who can see beyond the White Cliffs of Dover will welcome the Archeofuturist assurance that the future belongs to us. The Coronavirus pandemic will challenge liberal capitalism as nations try to keep millions of unemployed workers on the dole. Existing problems will get worse and underlying tensions will emerge. A complete revolution of the spirit could be just what we need.

The Lamp Posts of Baghdad

According to the Home Office, crime in the UK fell in 2006, but few people trust figures from a government that was involved in the Lord Levy 'cash for peerages' scandal and the Tessa Jowell affair. The perception is that crime increased under Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Dave Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson. The 'Metro' of Fri 1st Feb 2019 reported that the UK has dropped three places to 11th in the latest international league table of corruption. We are currently preoccupied with the Coronavirus pandemic but when we get back to normal corruption will still be with us.

Bill Bratton (pictured) achieved a remarkable reduction in crime as chief of the NYPD in the 1990s. He did this with his Zero Tolerance policy which prosecuted all crimes including corruption. We cannot hope to reduce crime while we are governed by crooks.

The swift arrest and sentencing of the two rapists who killed the British girl in Thailand contrasts sharply with our own creaking police and courts. If these evil thugs had committed their crime in the UK they would probably never have been caught. If they had been caught they would have got off on some technicality or been given a light sentence of which they would serve less than half. Britain is no longer a civilised country but a collapsed empire in the final stages of decay. Everything fine and decent is anathema to the perverse lunatics who control us: patriotism is politically incorrect, pride in being European is even worse, love of the English language and culture is eletist. Everything repulsive is glorified including discordant music, meaningless lyrics, idiotic fashions, and infantile behaviour.

Our traditions are ridiculed and our faith has collapsed under political pressure. If you report a robbery to the police they are more likely to arrest you than look for the criminals. If you have been careful with your money the State will rob you but those who arrive with nothing are showered with handouts.

Parents who discipline their children are pilloried but perverts who rape children get piddling prison sentences. Drug dealers openly sell their wares on the streets while the police look the other way. Our politicians are not just useless they are corrupt and utterly contemptible.

When Saddam Hussein led the 1968 Iraqi revolution it was reported that the lamp posts of Baghdad  were groaning under the weight of corrupt politicians hanging from them. What a sight that must have been. 

Living in the Past

Every generation is critical of its children but we continue to make progress. In 1933 the Oxford Union debating society voted by 275 votes to 153 for the motion: "This House will under no circumstances fight for its King and Country." Questions were asked in the House of Commons and the newspapers condemned the motion, but when the war came our young people did fight, as bravely as their fathers had fought in WW1. And those that survived went on to have children of their own that became the Hippy generation, with flowers in their hair. But fashions do not influence DNA and their potential was undiminished. 

The Daily Telegraph is obsessed with the idea that we are becoming a nation of illiterates, either as a result of “liberal” teaching methods, or because of a general decline in intelligence. It’s true that some kids leave school unable to read and write but that has always been the case. Some have psychological problems and others are mentally deficient. But the majority of school leavers have sufficient education to go to university or take apprenticeships. Of course, the older generation thinks that standards have diminished, but they have always held this view. Things were always better in ‘the good old days.’

The East Asian nations dominate the educational league tables but the UK is in the second group of nations, between Australia and Germany. Our educational system generally provides the graduates needed for British industry. It’s true that we import some skilled workers but we also export them. Things could always be better but they are not nearly as bad as the Old Guard would have us believe.

No Police = Chaos - Mark Webb

The normal no plan, plan is in place. The plan that has no plan. Bolton to face restrictions and a bar in Cardiff to shut, but Morrisons in Camberwell told everyone that they didn't have to queue up anymore. No social distancing required. Then confusion as we then had one social distancing queue and one non-social distancing queue.

Going back four or five years we talked about a virus coming in from abroad. Mass spreading of infection via human vectors. It's all come to pass. It's a very selfish and lazy generation of young people and on the whole they really don't care as they think that (wrongly) they cannot and will not be infected. It's very clear from people's general behaviour that the virus is spreading. It's clear that the State attempted to cover up deaths in care homes and then amongst the homeless population. They cannot fiscally risk another nationwide lockdown, as the country would just go into meltdown, however, as we approach Brexit without a deal, the overall effect will indeed be like another lockdown. I've spoken to a few small business owners and they are all saying that a further lockdown would finish their hard-pressed businesses for good. The High Street was looking pretty empty pre-lockdown (much thanks to Amazon) and is now solely focussed on the night time economy. Of course, that breaks all social distancing rules and we are back to square one. Humans as vectors.

So I see the State going  one step further than just censoring the general death rate, putting things down to old age, long term ill health, or unknown pre-existing medical conditions; with the winter flu season right around the corner, expect the following:

Firstly, people who have recently had C-19 and survived will have a weakened immunity to the Winter Flu (WFV) having damaged lungs from the Covid. I think that having both Covid and WFV at the same time, even in a very healthy person would prove to be a very complex set of conditions to overcome. If the flu season hits along with crashing out of the EU, trade will suffer. The current set of clowns in charge will borrow and borrow and everything will fall on the taxpayer. But the taxpayers will not be paying tax they will be using the NHS in record numbers. The migrants will leave. They have no loyalty to us. The EU hates the UK and will do everything in its power to wreck the UK economy.

I am sitting at home typing at coming up to 1am on Sunday morning with an illegal musical event playing very loudly from about 9 o'clock on Saturday evening. The police have been called by several residents. There are hundreds of people, not one wearing a mask, listening to the music. This will doubtless go on for many hours yet. No police = chaos.  

Good Old Boris

The Coronavirus pandemic has come back for the second time, the government's advice changes on a daily basis, the country has a national debt of two trillion pounds, immigration to the UK has risen to 270,000, and 'Good Old Boris' has decided to ignore international law.

They say that countries get the kind of government that they deserve. If that's true we must have been terrible people to be afflicted with a prime minister who rules by emergency powers. Boris Johnson has gone back on every promise. He has made more U turns than a London taxi, and he is utterly contemptuous of public opinion.

He was elected with a massive majority by the votes of traditional Labour Party supporters in the former industrial areas of the Midlands and the North of England. In an act of collective madness they put their faith in a reckless clown with a long history of telling lies. Now, the consequences of their stupidity are being felt.

We can't blame Boris for the Coronavirus pandemic but we can blame him for dragging out a trade deal with the EU to impress his followers. And for appointing the former editors of the Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph to important positions in broadcasting. 

We will eventually get over Boris Johnson, just as we got over Henry VIII. He was a homicidal maniac who executed 72,000 people, when the population was only 2.5 million - that's 2.8 percent. He was described by the author Simon Sebag-Montefiore in 'History's Monsters' as: "a lustful, egotistical, paranoid and tyrannical monarch." Who does that remind you of?
